Disordered Eating
LGBTQ2S+ Issues
Discrimination / Cultural Issues

Are you a young adult, aged 18-35, struggling with anxiety, depression, or an eating disorder? Do you
feel overwhelmed by persistent sadness, worry, or self-doubt impacting your daily life? Maybe you’re
also navigating cultural transitions, facing discrimination, or reconciling conflicting cultural identities,
and dealing with gender identity or sexual orientation issues. Despite trying various self-help methods,
nothing seems to work for long, and you’re eager to make a lasting change.

My name is Neilyn (she/her), and as someone who has personally experienced anxiety, depression, and
an eating disorder, I deeply understand these challenges. Being a person of colour and a daughter of
first-generation immigrants to Canada, I’m aware of the complexities of cultural transitions and the
impact of discrimination. I am committed to offering inclusive mental health care, especially for
LGBTQ2S+ individuals, and incorporating culturally sensitive practices into our work.

My approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and empathy, using client-centered and
humanistic principles alongside evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and
strength-based therapy. Together, we will create a supportive and tailored experience that focuses on
your growth and well-being. If you’re ready for meaningful and lasting change, email me for a free 15-
minute consultation to see if we’d be a good fit!
