Grief and Loss

You might be someone who feels deeply and thinks a lot about your life. You may be the person others rely on, someone who appears to have it together on the outside, but inside feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you really are anymore. In a fast-moving world that often values productivity over presence, being someone who feels deeply can be draining. Your sensitivity, intuition, and emotional depth may feel out of step with the pace and expectations around you, leaving you exhausted—or sometimes causing you to shut down entirely. It can feel like there isn’t quite space for the way you experience life, your needs, or the depth of your inner world.

You may have followed a path shaped by expectations at work, in relationships, or within your family, and are starting to sense that something doesn’t quite fit. There can be a quiet but persistent feeling of misalignment, like you’re living a life that looks right but doesn’t fully feel like yours. You might notice patterns of overgiving, people-pleasing, or holding back your voice to keep the peace. Over time, this can lead to feeling drained, resentful, or disconnected from your own needs and desires. Underneath it all, there is often a longing to feel grounded, confident, and at home in yourself, and to experience relationships and a life that feel more authentic and meaningful.

As a Registered Student Therapist (Qualifying), I bring to this work not just clinical training, but lived experience navigating many of the challenges my clients face. In my mid-thirties, I found myself rebuilding—stepping away from a career that no longer felt aligned, while also navigating deeper questions around identity, sexuality, and long-standing patterns shaped by intergenerational experiences. What I had once taken as certainty began to shift, and life felt more uncertain, but also more honest.

During that process, I learned what it means to slow down in a world that constantly pushes for speed and productivity, a world that often tries to fit us into neat little boxes, and to instead listen deeply to myself and follow a path guided by my own values and timeline rather than others’ expectations. I began to understand how deeply held patterns, beliefs, and ways of relating can shape how we move through the world, often without us even realizing it. With the help of therapy, I began to explore these layers with compassion, make sense of my experiences, and reconnect with a sense of self that felt more authentic and grounded.

I hope to create a space where you can do the same. A space to pause, reflect, and explore your experiences with curiosity and care, without judgment. Together, we can uncover the patterns that hold you back, reconnect you to your own voice and values, and create room for a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and nourishing. My approach is holistic and client-centred, grounded in the belief that genuine connection and compassion are at the heart of meaningful therapy. I show up with warmth, humility, and the understanding that we are all human, imperfect and complex, and at the same time inherently good and worthy of care exactly as we are. My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you as we explore what is happening in your life with curiosity and care, helping you feel seen, respected, and supported.

I integrate a variety of approaches, including emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, existential exploration, and both narrative and somatic practices. My work is trauma-informed, rooted in mindfulness, and guided by the belief that you are already whole, with strengths waiting to be uncovered or reclaimed. Together, we explore the patterns that shape your experience, support your nervous system in finding balance, and help you reconnect with your inner voice, your values, and your capacity for meaningful connection.
